What an absolutely lovely Full Moon tonight. It was delightful watching it rise above the mountains.

Early this month my kids suggested we collect a couple of Caterpillars of the White-lined Sphinx (Hummingbird Moth) and Hummingbird Hawk-Moth feasting on the Gaura Lindheimeri plants in the front yard garden (we got five in total during their second development stage of instar).
A few days ago, most of our active, fascinating and ferocious eaters began to lose appetite. They started searching for a place to pupate, slightly shrunk in size and turned brown.
The first Hummingbird Moth emerged from its chrysalis approximately two weeks later and the last two emerged today, two days following the first.
The whole process of feeding and watching the Caterpillars transform was a thrilling experience for my kids.
I love tending to my gardens and for as long as I can remember, I have been enchanted by Fairy Gardens with their hidden mysteries and treasures. My Garden is the place where I go to retreat, reflect and relax and I design it to reflect my character, personality and inner spirit.
My daughter, who is fond of the backyard fairy garden, requested to create a miniature version for herself. We used a set of Vintage Drawers we purchased last Summer from Estate Liquidators. My daughter immediately put hers to use while her brother was still figuring out what to do with his. Most of the accessories are from Michaels, Linda Marie’s Enchanted Treasures, Kreative Klutter and the rest are home made.
Early this afternoon on our way to pick up a few tools from Harbor Freight Tools, my husband’s eyes spotted beautiful selections of outdoor decor while searching for a parking spot. We parked next to the entrance of the little shop, Kreative Klutter, as a reminder to check it out before leaving.
Whether you are looking for indoor and outdoor, collectibles, Fairy Garden Supplies or if you are just interested in learning Tole Painting, make plans to visit Kreative Klutter or contact her on her facebook page for additional information.
You know that feeling you get after a job well done? That’s how I feel today, Happy in the Garden.
This has been a good year for my Longiflorum-Asiatic Lily ‘Birgi’. This gorgeous and exceptional perennial with erect stems, dark green foliage and large deep pink fragrant, upward-facing trumpet-like flowers.
Silvery Cassia, also known as Feathery Cassia and Silver Leaf Cassia is an evergreen Australian shrub. The plant produces cheerful bright yellow buttercup-shaped flowers from late Winter to Spring followed by flat brown seedpods. The plant can be propagated by seeds and cuttings.
According to Growing With Science Blog, the female part of the flower is the light green part that curves off to the side from the center of the flower and the male part of the flower are the brown stamens.
My semi-evergreen Daylily ‘Pretty Woman’ are going strong this year as well. It is such a delicate and sophisticated plant with light creamy-apricot petals.
A Miniature Hybrid Rose with different flower colors.
I was pleasantly surprised to see tiny ivory Seed Pods (without the seeds) on my Coleonema Pulchrum. From a distance, they look like delicate flowers.
Wishing you all a good day and a great start to your week. Happy Gardening too!
“I do not love my National Team because they do something for me. I love them because they represent me; therefore, my faithfulness towards them will always be true.” — Joan Ambu
I have barely missed a Game since the beginning of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™. I have cheered for all the Teams, including mine, The Indomitable Lions. As I sat there watching the match between Cameroon and Brazil unfold as well as reading comments on various sites, I was overcome with compassion for my Team.
Without a doubt The Indomitable Lions have been demanding and a few players have shown lack of professionalism on the field. However, it is fair to say that they have been all alone in this 2014 FIFA World Cup from the get-go. The presence of ill-wishers were predominant prior to the beginning of the very first match and the negative energy was overwhelming.
What did we expect? Did we really think they would give 100% to a Nation who is strongly praying and cheering for their downfall? We love the Team when they are at their best and reject them when they are down on their knees. We should be ashamed for not supporting our Team through thick and thin. They had nothing to fight for, nothing to Win for. They’ve made mistakes to which they will answer for (if there is anything to answer for); however, their failure as a Team does not justify our behavior towards them. We should know better and do better.
“Your Nationality or any other Affiliation isn’t written on your forehead or any visible part of your body. It is shown by the way you Pride Yourself.” — Joan Ambu
What have we done for our Country as individuals? We are only good at pointing fingers when things don’t go the way we expect. Then seize the opportunity to ridicule ourselves Worldwide through pitiful videos, rude and insulting comments. Everyone is quick at judging, quick at giving up and yet no one seems to have a solution. I am ashamed to be part of a Nation of hypocrites and Self-Haters.
We are either in all the way with our National Team or we are out. There are no in-betweens, no excuses and no conditions. What does not construct destroys and I doubt that the Almighty God in whom I believe will ever bless a Nation of hypocrites. There is a time for everything and Life is not about winning. We are here to do good while we live, Love, Learn and refrain from making the same mistakes.
There are issues within The Indomitable Lions team, which I pray will be resolved.
