“When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.” – Henri J.M. Nouwen (The Road to Daybreak: A Spiritual Journey).

I got a painful call a little while ago informing me of the death of my childhood friend; my best male friend. I feel alone. Time seems to have stopped. I am torn apart. I am falling apart …
We found each other not too long ago after seventeen years and now I have lost him for good.

Nothing is worth loosing a good friend and we shouldn’t give up too easily when it comes to saving a relationship because we cannot reset time. We should strive to stand tough with one another, especially when the odds seem to be against us. Life is short. Live and learn. Love and kindness don’t cost a thing. Spread some Love.

May God be with his family and get them through these difficult times.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” ― Revelation 21:4

“There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart.” – Gandhi

This morning I learning of the death of my dear and beloved friend, Stéphane Yves-Alexandre, gone to never return. Gone to the land of immortals, free of pain and prejudices. Your journey has just begun.

Stéphane Yves-Alexandre was an amazing person. He was a good friend to me and he reached out so many times when the World seemed not to pay attention and I thanked him, though I’m not sure I thanked him enough. I Love You, Alex. I will not speak of you in the past because you are ever so present in my heart. You mean so much more and nothing will ever fill the gap.

I join my voice with Angels and a million others to pray for the peaceful rest of your Soul. Thank you for sparing a few minutes of your time to talk to me a couple of months ago. You are a beautiful person, a kindhearted man and we will all miss you. It was a pleasure knowing you and an honor walking the Earth with you. I am praying for the loved ones you left behind, that they may find peace, comfort and strength in the Words of our Almighty God, to deal with challenges ahead.

“Nothing is really lost in the World; everything is preserved.” ― Joan Ambu

“Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.” ― 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

Eric Aseneh {Memory of}

Friday, November 30th was a very sad day for our Family, as we lost one of our own. We lost a good man. Eric was a Son, a Nephew, a Father, an Uncle, a Cousin, a Brother. He was a beloved Child of God who fought the good fight till the end. Eric was an amazing inspiration and a wonderful example of what Philippians 4:13 is all about. He was such a loving person and he will be greatly missed.

The Bible teaches us to give thanks in everything (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18). Even in suffering, God wants us to give thanks and trust that He will get us through. Eric’s new journey has just begun. Let’s give thanks to God and ask Him to welcome our brother and to keep him close until we meet again.

Please, pray for us, as we mourn the lost of our brother and prepare to lay him to rest. Pray that we find the peace of God that comforts and restore. Pray that we may be released from the pain that is weighing down our minds. Pray that God rest his soul.

Eric was a good man with a good heart and like any other human being  he had his flaws. Let us forgive any missteps that may have given us the wrong impression of his true feelings.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.” – John 14:1-2

Francois Xavier Etoundi {Memory of}

This year has been quite rough for some of us.
We have experienced Love and we have experienced extreme pain and anguish. Though the pain of death is universal; each one of us handles it differently. Less than 24 hours ago, I learned of the passing of a former classmate. The news came as a surprise to many of us as he was recovering from illness and was doing much better. He left behind a family and three children.

Join me in prayer, for the family of François Xavier Etoundi, as his loved ones prepare to lay him to rest. It’s especially in moments like these that we turn to God and ask Him to restore our inner peace.

Please donate. Nothing is too small or too big. We never know when our own time will come, but we can hope that when it comes to pass; our lives, in the end, will be remembered. In the Spirit of togetherness, love and kindness, let’s join our hands as one and celebrate his life.

May his gentle soul rest in peace and may God comfort his family during this hard time.

“We are nothing but die cut shapes flowing in the wind waiting to fall.” — Joan Ambu

And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!” – Revelation 14:13 (ESV)

Merville Kenfack {Memory of}

Dear friends,

I regret to inform you that my beloved sister, Merville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, the 7th of August 2012 after giving birth to a beautiful boy.

Merville was very kin about her privacy. At this time we would ask that Merville’s final wishes are observed, and there are to be no pictures of her posted either privately or publicly. Please, there are to be no speculations (posted) as to the cause of her death- as Christians, we all turn to our father GOD in heaven.

Since some of you live overseas, we understand you will not be able to come. However, donations are very much appreciated; click on the link below.

If you have any well-wishes for my family or just pay your respects, please leave your messages on the following blog under the coordination of Joan Ambu (which the family will review after the funeral).

We also very much  appreciate any spiritual support and prayers.

Regards,

Eve Kenfack
