While you enjoy your families and friends, remember that the risen Christ is the reason we celebrate.
Have a blessed Easter.
Hooray! I am 99% done assembling the South American Premiere Porcelain doll Fernando, the llama.
This porcelain doll is yet another gift I received from a beloved neighbor a couple of years ago. She bought the mold of the Llama’s head and legs and fired it up herself. That lady was incredibly good with her hand.
Unfortunately, the improper storage of the fur pieces for over twenty years resulted in damage. I just need to purchase a few pieces to cover the legs area and it will be complete at last.
It is one of the many unfinished porcelain dolls I received from a neighbor who moved away a couple of years ago. I connected the face and legs unto the soft body, glued and sew in the wool into place and attached the eyelashes (Yes, I know, those eyelashes need to be trimmed).
Fernando has porcelain face and legs with a soft body and a wool blanket. He is from the Premiere Artist Collection from Wendy Crawford and Barbara Miller, of California. It measures 17”H x 11”L x 6”W.
I have a couple more projects lined up, to keep ourselves busy as we are expecting heavy rain and possible snow all of next week.
I hope you are all healthy and safe.

Hello and Happy New Year 2016!
I hope you ended 2015 in a positive note. For those of you who didn’t achieve your goals and/or suffered a loss; I hope 2016 will be the year for new beginnings and clarity in your lives.
All I wanted for Christmas was a cozy home filled with healthy, happy people and I got just that.
I got so many beautiful things for Christmas; but the ones I love most are a set of quilted throw faux-suede pillows. They are super cute, soft and add charm to any room. I am going coastal in my home, starting with my living room.
On December 31st, I celebrated my 15th Anniversary.
We attended church service this morning and it was great to fellowship with others and hearing God’s Word. The sermon really struck a chord with me — words of encouragement and hope for the new year. After many years of searching, we finally found a Church that we love and we will continue to attend regularly.
It’s back to school tomorrow. We all enjoyed our holiday break, now it’s time to work hard. Although 2015 ended with clear blue skies, it looks like we might get some rain tonight and all week-long.
Happy New Year 2016!
